RECREATIONAL CLASSES - YELLOW
Pom is a dynamic and strong style of dance using pom poms. Pom routines include dance skills such as jumps, turns and kicks as well as basic gymnastics skills and lifts.
Cheer routines are high energy and involve stunts, tumbling, jumps and dance. Cheer routines are fast paced and exciting to watch and perform.
Lyrical routines are a fusion of ballet, contemporary and theatrical dance techniques. They are beautiful routines that often tell a story and allow for a lot of expression while performing.
Jazz incorporates dance skills and techniques with theatrical movements. Jazz routines are up beat and often have a theme which allows for a lot of personality while performing.
**NEW COMP STYLE IN 2020** HIP HOP
Hip Hop is a street style of dance with strong movements including isolations, popping, locking, tutting, voguing and break dancing. In Hip Hop training time, athletes will learn their routine choreography and skills. It is not compulsory for Hip Hop athletes to attend a Roar session, however they are more than welcome to enrol if they would like to - please contact us if you would like to attend Roar so we can place you into the appropriate session.
Dance duos are offered to athletes by invitation only.
Athletes will learn the fundamentals of Cheerleading, Jazz and Pom. This class is fun and challenging and is a great class for those who are new to this sport.
This class is a fusion of Jazz and Ballet with expressive softer movements that often tell a story. Our athletes will learn lyrical technique and will learn to express emotion through movement.
TUMBLING TITANS - LEVEL 1
Tumbling classes combine strength, conditioning and tumbling techniques used in Cheer and Dance. The aim of this class is to accelerate your core strength and tumbling skills in order to be a well rounded dancer/cheerleader. This class will focus on the basic progressions such as forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, roundoff snd bridges.
TUMBLING TITANS - LEVEL 2
Tumbling classes combine strength, conditioning and tumbling techniques used in cheer and dance. The aim of this class is to accelerate your core strength and tumbling skills in order to be a well rounded dancer/cheerleader. This class is for athletes who are able to walkover. It is tailored to athletes who have mastered all basic level tumbling and are moving into more complex tumbling skills.
BOYS ONLY HIP HOP CREW
The boys will focus on learning different hip hop techniques and street dance styles including isolations, popping, locking, tutting and break dancing. This is a great class for high-energy boys who love to move!
Tap is a form of dance characterised by a tapping sound that is created from metal plates attached to both the ball and heel of a dancer’s shoes. Tap focuses on rhythms and patterns in footwork through proper technique, as well as personal style and producing clear sounds. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination and speed of movement.
Musical Theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance. Musical Theatre is full of energy, emotion, performance and of course FUN!! We are so excited to be adding this style to our program.

This new class for high school athletes is high energy and a fun way to learn a variety of dance skills. Jazz routines combine dance techniques and theatrical movements and often have a theme which allows for a lot of personality while performing.
Contemporary dance is an expressive style of dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dance strives to connect the mind and the body through fluid movements.
TINY TOTS 1-4 YEARS
An exciting introduction to the wonderful world of Cheer and Dance! Join us for an afternoon of cheerleading fun and imaginative dance play. This class encourages our tiny athletes to find their own style of movement with an emphasis on effort and participation. Adults are welcome to participate and athletes are also encouraged to assert their independence.
